Cockroach bites are dangerous. Roaches carry all sorts of bacteria and can be a dangerous vector for infection. It is important to properly treat a cockroach bite as soon as it is discovered. Ideally, you should be able to avoid being bitten by a cockroach by following a few simple steps. Another important thing to know is that cockroach bites are avoidable, by getting rid of roaches that are already in house and by stopping roaches from getting inside in the first place.

It’s not always clear if a particular bite was made by a cockroach or not, so it is important to be able to identify a cockroach bite vs say, a bedbug bite. They are slightly different and should be treated differently.
